When deciding which operator to choose, be aware that not all dive companies know the locations of these specific sites. Hat island, for example, has miles of underwater terrain, much of it uninteresting. Sailaway Cruises has been operating in these waters for almost quarter of a century. We discovered many of the sites, including an intact WWII Corsair fighter plane, and we're still the only operator to run regular cruises to these areas.

Sailaway Cruises is owner-operated. Offering full day sailing cruises and overnight trips and charters from Havannah Harbour, two SCUBA dives are offered every cruise. We only take a limited number of people on board, so you're not just one of the crowd on a large, impersonalised tour.

This side of Efate is the lee side of the island, protected from the predominant southeasterly Trade Winds. There is no industry, agriculture or large settlements in the area. With little runoff to reduce visibility, the result is that rare combination of protected waters with open ocean visibility and marine life.
